Ten Hoopen’s documentary work has a poetic tone and a stillness to it. His atmospheric photographic language invites the viewer to reflect on present events in a quiet, very focused way. Through his lense the viewer is enabled to touch the essence in a situation, creating room to experience both beauty and pain.
