Anahita Sadighi
Curator and Gallery Owner of Anahita –– Arts of Asia and Anahita Contemporary
Anahita Sadighi is an Iranian-born, Berlin-based gallerist, curator and cultural worker. Known as “the youngest gallery owner” in Berlin, she opened her first gallery space at age 26— Anahita–Arts of Asia—which focuses on antique art from East Asia. She has since opened her second gallery space, called Anahita Contemporary. Merging the ancient with the modern, her multifaceted work focuses on intercultural and interdisciplinary dialogue–dedicated to underrepresented themes within art, heritage, and cultural history. Moving between cultures, generations, and times, Sadighi lectures on the topics of diversity, interculturality, and representation. Associating Iranian culture with a mythical awareness and melancholy, Sadighi’s aim is to reimagine Far Eastern culture out of its dubious and stereotypical confinements in the Western world.
