Delphine Bedel

Delphine Bedel is Director of Programming at Fotografiska Berlin (starting April 2023). A longtime advocate of a more inclusive environment in the arts, her recent projects include the conferences (IN)VISIBILITIES, Gender and Photography for Fotodok (NL), and The Roadmap for Equality in the Arts in the Netherlands, she co-curated and coproduced. She is cofounder and president of Engagement Arts NL. Previously, she founded Meta/Books, a publishing studio specialised in emerging practices in photography, art, design and innovation. Bedel has worked with leading cultural institutions and art and design academies. She has lectured, served as a jury member and portfolio reviewer for museum and festivals including Paris Photo, Rencontres d’Arles, Institut pour la Photographie, Lille (FR), and more. She has taught at the Geneva University of Art and Design (CH), Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), Neue Schule für Fotografie Berlin and Kunsthochschule Kassel (DE), among others. She is a Member of the German Photography Academy (DFA). She was a member of the Advisory Board of the Mondriaan Fonds and the Auteursbond, section Journalism / Non-Fiction. She contributes to books and magazines.
