Femke de Vries works as an artist, researcher and teacher. In her practice, she addresses the industrial and commercial workings of fashion and explores alternatives. Her recent interests lie in paratext of fashion and in the relationship between human and non-human beings in fashion. Works of hers are published/shown in/at; Press & Fold, MetropolisM, Vestoj, Harvard Design Magazine, Mode and Mode, State of Fashion, Viscose Magazine and MacGuffin. She is part of Warehouse, a place for clothes in context, and is a senior lecturer at the ArtEZ MA Critical Fashion Practices.
