Lea Vene is an independent curator, cultural anthropologist, and lecturer in Fashion Museology and Anthropology at the Faculty of Textile Technology, University of Zagreb. Between 2013–2019 she was a curator at the gallery Miroslav Kraljević in Zagreb and one of the organizers of ETNOFILm (Ethnographic film festival, Rovinj). She curates exhibition programs for the International Photography Festival Organ Vida and performance events for Gallery Močvara. In 2018, she received the Lucie Award for Engaged, Active, Aware — Women’s Perspectives Now, an exhibition she curated with Marina Paulenka at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb. She’s a researcher at CIMO — Centre for Research of Fashion and Clothing (Zagreb, Croatia).
