Tuukka Laurila is the Founder and Director of The Community—a Parisian multidisciplinary, new-generation art center. In 2016, The Community was established for a long-standing need for shared space to stimulate new thinking and enable collaboration across cultures and artistic disciplines. Exploring the notion of the new institution, The Community Centre plays host to and explores the shifting intersections between cultural and social activities. Imagined as an alternative to institutional models, The Community Centre is dedicated to arts and interdisciplinary programming.
