Fotografiska Berlin celebrates its Grand Opening on
September 14
From 7pm - late
Fotografiska Berlin – The Contemporary Museum of Photography, Art and Culture opens its doors to the public on September 14 with a full program encompassing the opening of its inaugural exhibitions as well as talks by esteemed guests, live musical performances and DJ sets spread across three rooms. The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, and we can’t wait to share a night of photography, art and music and dancing across the entire building – from the Café Bar and Ballroom to the Verōnika bar – with you.
Update 9/14:
All pre-sale tickets for our grand opening celebration are sold out. If you don’t have a ticket—we’re sorry, but there are no more available at the door. We apologize for the disappointment—but we hope to see you in the coming weeks!
7pm - Visit our three opening exhibitions
From 7pm until midnight, guests can visit the opening exhibitions NUDE, Candice Breitz’ Whiteface and Juliana Huxtable’s –USSYPHILIA. Museum Staff will be available on-site to provide context for these thought-provoking and in-depth examinations of gender, race, and sexuality. Care to grab a drink while you browse the exhibitions? Step into the newly unveiled Café Bar and let the melodies of Freak de l’Afrique’s DJ Nomi sweep you away.
- This ticket does not include access to the concert from 10pm onwards.
10pm - Concert in the ballroom
After visiting the exhibitions, the energy escalates to new heights with the opening of our vibrant ballroom. Iconic feminist musician and performance artist Peaches is considered by many as one of the most groundbreaking artists in town, having paved the way for a new, rebellious style of pop music. Also performing is ‘electric diva’ MALONDA.
Limited tickets available. This ticket also gives you access to visiting the exhibitions from 7pm onwards.
