The film chronicles the titular comedy trailblazer who became an improv comedy legend and features interviews with Bob Odenkirk and Jason Sudeikis as well as never-before-seen interviews with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. For Mad Men Only made its debut at SXSW earlier this year and spotlights Close’s journey from his “human torch” sideshow act to his influential and contentious rise at The Second City, mentoring such greats as Bill Murray, John Candy, and the aforementioned Fey, as well as the founders of the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), among many others.
The program will feature a special post-screening panel Q&A with the film’s director and writer Heather Ross as well as producer Jennifer Pike, former editor of DC Comics Mike Gold, animator Kendra Morris and comedy legend Tim Meadows (SNL, The Goldbergs), who is also featured in the film. Moderated by comedian and podcast host Shonali Bhowmik.

Utopia Films Announces Partnership with Fotografiska New York
Utopia Films – the independent film distribution company co-founded by Robert Schwartzman and Cole Harper – is the official partner in a monthly film screening series with Fotografiska New York. The indie distributor known for recently released and critically-acclaimed films such as Shiva Baby, House of Cardin and Mickey and the Bear, among others, brings one of their new titles to Fotografiska each month for special one-night screenings.
