Hip Hop Reversible Bucket Hat
Mass Appeal x Fotografiska
Before its current reboot as a style-de-jour the unassuming Bucket Hat - a soft, short rimmed style evolving from humble Irish fisherman's wear and later favored in the U.S. Armed Forces as lightweight, hot weather protection - was the election, after baseball cap predominance, of Hip Hop-dom during the 80s and 90s. Likely its utilitarian, non-status was what appealed back then, but performers like LL Cool J and Run DMC leant it a new cachet.
Undeniably its back and Fotografiska celebrates its new lease of life with this simple black cotton form featuring contrasting, reversible white-on-black logo patterning. There's our signature red Hip Hop 50 anniversary tab down at the brim, adding a speck of distinction and panache, possibly prompting the question - where did you get that hat?
