Coexistence #1 Poster
Cho Gi-Seok, born 1992 in South Korea, is one of Asia’s most promising young artists and fashion photographers. The photographs are thoughtfully planned and executed where every object serves a purpose, creating a great sense of harmony, beauty and symbolism. Whether Gi-Seok is portraying a person or a flower, the photos express the complexity and beautiful equivocation of life. A word Gi-Seok often returns to in his work is ‘coexistence,’ for him it’s everything – stones, trees, animals, places, machines and people – all meant to coexist in both real life and in photographs. Coexistence was also the name of Gi-Seok’s first big international exhibition, where a wide range of his work from 2018-2020 was shown. As a fashion photographer Cho Gi-Seok has worked for South Korean Vogue, Eller and Esquire to name a few and with brands such as Prada, Nike, Adidas and Cartier. Printed in 170g FSC-certified paper.
