Information about the Coronavirus March 27

Museum - Closed today

06:08 - 11 Mar 2020

Fotografiska follows the Swedish Government's directives and the recommendations of the Public Health Agency on the issue of the Coronavirus and its spread. All in-house events have been cancelled, larger events are postponed, we continuously review the numbers of our guests, we increase the cleaning in our building and follow the directives from Stockholm City.

The government has decided to ban public gatherings and public events with more than 50 participants. This is an infection prevention measure due to the new Coronavirus.

  • Public gathering means for example: demonstrations, lectures, conferences, theatre performances, concerts and similar.
  • Public events means for example: competitions and shows in sports, dance events, amusement rides, markets and trade shows.

Activities not covered by the ban:

The Government's ban includes events involving more than 50 participants at one time. Activities such as school and pre-school activities, leisure centers, libraries, museums and swimming and sports halls for association sports, spontaneous sports and exercise are thus excluded.

What does this mean at Fotografiska:

  • All in-house events have been cancelled.
  • We are rescheduling our planned events that exceed 50 guests. However, this does not include private events, corporate events and dinner parties.
  • From today we will start counting our guests so that the number of guests in the building do not exceed 50 people.
  • We are increasing the frequency of cleaning throughout the museum.
  • We follow the development closely in consultation with the directives from the Stockholm City’s Cultural Administration and the Public Health Agency.
  • We urge all guests to follow the recommendations of the Public Health Agency on reducing the spread of infection.
  • Apart from these actions; we are open as usual.
