Ann-Sofi Rosenkvist

The Crown

Hero Image for Ann-Sofi Rosenkvist

The Crown depicts a circus performer and how her character confronts an empty room.

Her gaze was intensely present

When I first watched the character I filmed, I was fascinated by her fragility. She was delicate, ethereal, and beautiful as well as expressive. Her gaze was intensely present. That’s what captured me, that a person so fragile could also be strong. That quiet could fill a space, that such strength could arise from within.

Ann-Sofi Rosenkvist graduated with a degree in photography from Nordens Fotoskola, Biskops Arnö in 1998 and then went on to study at Konstskolan in Stockholm.
