It is believed that one can judge a society’s level of cultivation by looking at how we treat some of the most vulnerable people in it; people with disabilities. Isolation is amongst one of the worst things that can happen to us humans. To not be included, to be left an outsider, is fatal for us. Since forever there is one group in particular that has been constantly neglected, excluded and made invisible; people born with Downs Syndrome. And with advancements in technology that lets us diagnose our children before they are even born, the likelihood of children being born with Downs Syndrome is decreasing.
