Hassan Hajjaj Limited Ed. Artwork, Large Tea Can - Butterfly (Ed. 6/11/18)
Hassan Hajjaj's Andy Wahloo limited edition, large tea caddy. From an edition of 250, this unique artwork evolved from a collaboration with Amine El Baroudi, "the Tea Man", who began making tea tins to frame Hassan Hajjaj’s photography. This concept has grown into the first release of limited edition tea caddies as desirable, collectible art objects. The artwork fuses Pop Art with traditional Moroccan soup cans, graphics and iconic imagery from North African packaging. Hajjaj is often called “the Andy Warhol of Marrakech," henceforth, the birth of Andy Wahloo. Full of vibrant colors, speed, and rhythmic sway, Hajjaj's Moroccan roots are clearly visible in his work, mixed with contemporary London expressions. And of course, tea is a vital part of Moroccan and British culture!
