In Kristy Mitchell’s exhibition “Wonderland” her fairytale was shown - a dream of being enchanted and embraced during the darkest time of the year. The magical creations and sceneries of the woods in “Wonderland” left us fascinated and moved. Mitchell worked on this project for five years, only months after her mother passed away. This became her escape from the painful reality - going back to the world she and her mother had shared during Mitchell’s childhood.
