Dutch photographer and artist Scarlett Hooft Graafland aims to capture the ever changing nature when photographing the meetings of different cultures of the world. After weeks of prepping together with locals, she successfully portrays the meeting between her own fantasy, nature and the people who live in these often very distant places. The result turns out as a short moment that soon will be gone, but still manages to make an impact on the viewer that will last forever - leaving questions about traces that are disappearing from our world.

The exhibition ‘Vanishing Traces’ included photos of big trees with women from the local tribe, fishermen in their boats, and women in burkas carrying balloons.
