Voffi (from Icelandic "voff" - bark) is an elegantly wrought geometrically formed wax candle effigy. Like some dogs, he does not, perhaps, live up to his name - this fellow is by and large silent - but he will remain loyal and steadfast as he stands guard. Light him up and he will gradually shed his waxen exterior, revealing a resolute, slightly forbidding, flame-licked metallic skeleton. Voffi will stay. The metamorphosis is compelling and haunting. He makes an intriguing companion, a distinctive accent piece, an unusual holiday ornament, and a strong case for canine devotion.
