During quarantine in 2020, Daphne Guiness and David LaChapelle dropped Revelations, a three-part music video to coincide with the release of Daphne’s single of the same name. Each directed by LaChapelle, the series posits a windy, littered, impassioned, daytime American apocalypse in which a fashionable Daphne exists as a visual and thematic counterpoint. Adults and children run out of already-emptied small town shops, people fight each other on the street, some pray, others makeout. Revelations is a still from this video, and at the centre of this poster rendition of it, we see an elderly couple kissing with an embrace tight enough to be felt by us, completely frozen amidst the chaos unfolding around them, including Daphne mannequinely posed to the distant right.
