A collage of colorful and artistic photographs, with the number 15 and the Fotografiska logo symbolizing the Fotografiska 15-year anniversary celebration.

15 Fotografiska Years

This autumn, we are celebrating 15 years of photography, art and culture, and the manifold perspectives that have shaped who we are today. What began in Stockholm in 2010 as a home for photography and conversation has grown into a global community, with museums in Berlin, Tallinn, Shanghai, and more to come. Across every of our museums, one belief drives us: photography is the most accessible, inclusive, and influential art form of our time. To mark this special moment, we are opening a celebratory exhibition on October 18 at Fotografiska Stockholm “15 Fotografiska Years”. A look back at the stories and artists that have defined our journey to date, and a look forward at the future of image-making in an ever-changing world. Featuring work from over 100 artists, the exhibition will span photography, sculpture, installation, and film. At Fotografiska, we believe in art that sparks dialogue and inspires change. For fifteen years, we have reimagined what a museum can be and created spaces where photography shines, people meet, ideas collide, and creativity thrives — from the exhibition halls to events and workshops, from Stockholm to Shanghai. Here’s to the next chapter and to seeing the world, and each other, through an always developing lens.
